To be considered independent, we as advisors must be completely free of conflicts of interest. This means having the ability to offer access to the finest products and advice available - without being driven by any considerations other than our clients’ best interests. It also means that as an independently owned and operated firm, we are free from pressure to push proprietary products of a parent company.
With this goal in mind, we made the decision in 2002 to change our affiliation to LPL Financial. LPL Financial is the largest broker/dealer in the United States for independent financial advisors*. As an independent firm LPL Financial does not offer any proprietary investment products and does not conduct any investment banking activities. Because we are under no pressure to promote proprietary products or to meet any kind of sales quotas, we are able to offer our clients truly unbiased advice. We are also able to recommend investment strategies specifically tailored to each client’s individual needs and their specific financial plan.
